Check out 30 Rock star Katrina Bowden in this pictorial for the May issue of FHM magazine

Here’s an excerpt of her interview:

Did the cheerleading theme take you back to your school days? Or were you a closet goth?

I went to an all-girls Catholic school, and I was somewhere in between. I definitely wasn’t an outcast, but I wasn’t the super-popular cheerleader either.

Do strangers ever quote their favourite Cerie lines back at you?

Absolutely. The one I get most often is from an episode in season one, when Snapple was one of 30 Rock’s sponsors. We were making fun of sponsorship in shows, and repeatedly bringing up Snapple, and in one part they cut to me and I’m drinking a Snapple in slow motion. I turn to the camera and say, “I only date guys who drink Snapple!” Now I always get guys coming up and saying, “Hey, Snapple’s all I drink!” or “Can I buy you a Snapple?” It’s pretty funny.

Do people ever confuse you with Cerie, and speak to you reeeallllyy slooowllyy?

Sometimes people come up and are like, “Wow, you’re actually really normal! I figured you’d be just like Cerie!” Or they’ll comment on the way I’m dressed: “Wow, you’re not wearing, like, a tiny outfit with colourful knee-high socks!” It’s funny that people would get confused.

Away from acting, a little birdy told us that you keep yourself fit with a mixture of pole dancing and kick-boxing. Which is harder to master?

Oh, pole dancing, definitely. It’s acrobatic, it’s gymnastic, and you’re holding yourself in all these crazy Cirque du Soleil positions that feel very unnatural. There are definitely sexy, cute moments to it, but all the crazy flipping-yourself-upside-down stuff is really tough. I get really sore after my pole-dancing classes!

Do you reckon it’d be possible to combine the two into some kind
of sexy combat system?

That’d be awesome. I’d take those classes. Pole boxing here I come!
